The Wikipedia article about the State of Alabama was vandalized repeatedly throughout its history.

[edit | edit source]

On 15:47, 29 October 2017, an anonymous user changed the |Fullname= from State of Alabama to New Jersey and the |Name= from Alabama to New jersey is best state 10/10.[3] Fnlayson undid it.

On 15:54, 29 October 2017‎, this anonymous user blanked the article with the automatic edit summary of Blanked the page. ClueBot NG reverted it shortly thereafter.

deleted History[edit | edit source]

On 1:36pm, 2 November 2017, an anonymous user replaced the entire History section of the article with the word "deleted". ClueBot NG reverted it almost immediately afterwards with the edit summary of Reverting possible vandalism by to version by Beauty School Dropout. Report False Positive? Thanks, ClueBot NG. (3176693) (Bot).

a ➡️ o[edit | edit source]

On 5:03pm, 6 November 2017, Ralph McManor edited the |name= in the {{Infobox U.S. state}} template transclusion from Alabama to Alobama.[15] One minute later, the editor changes Alobama back to Alabama, but changes the flag link from File:Flag of Alabama.svg to File:Flag of Texas.svg in a minor edit.[4] He then reverted this one minute later. On 5:20pm, he added teh m3m3 state as a nickname for the state.[6] ClueBot NG undid the "possible vandalism" almost immediately with the edit summary of Reverting possible vandalism by Ralph McManor to version by Beauty School Dropout. Report False Positive? Thanks, ClueBot NG. (3180257) (Bot).

Name[edit | edit source]

On 5 December 2017, Wikipedia user Yerbono edited the full name from State of Alabama to State of Basically all of the KKK.[2]

Disambiguation[edit | edit source]

Yerbono edited the article's transclusion of the {{about}} template by replacing the link to "Alabama (disambiguation)" with a link to "Im an Alabama Nagur and I wanna be free (disambiguation)" just one minute before the above-mentioned edit.[1]

Motto[edit | edit source]

On 4:01am,[8] 4:03am,[9] 4:09am,[10] and 4:33am,[11] 5 December 2017, Jbr45 edited the article to change the motto of Alabama, first to "We like our Senators to Diddle our Children!", and then to "Our Senators Diddle our Daughters."

The edit summaries for each edit read:
4:01 am - Due to the large backing of Roy Moore for Senate in Alabama, the motto has been changed<ref></ref>
4:09 am - Alabama voters support Roy Moore, a known child molester for state senate
4:33 am - reverted back to the truth

Luckily for Jbr45 and the Democratic Party, that sexual predator lost to a weak Democrat who just told everyone not to expect him to solidly vote Democrat or Republican.[16]

On December 7, 2017, an anonymous Wikipedia user edited the article to change the motto to Audemus iura get dem mexicens!defendere (in Latin) with the summary of They got alabamas motto incorrect.[7]

Nickname[edit | edit source]

"The Negro State- Hahaha jkjk" was added as a fourth nickname of Alabama by an anonymous Wikipedia user.[5]

Hey[edit | edit source]

Wikipedia user Sheepneek, as a minor edit, removed the article's transclusion of {{Infobox U.S. state}} and added the word Hey as a new paragraph in between the first and second paragraphs on 9:52 pm, 30 December 2017 (UTC) with the edit summary of 21:52, 30 December 2017.[17] ClueBot NG reverted the edit in the same minute.

The same user, four minutes later, changed the official state song from "Alabama" to Gucci Gang.[12] AlexiusHoratius reverted it on 10:02pm. |Song="Alabama" was changed, first to |Song="Alabama".[13] on 10:09pm, then to |Song="Gucci Gang" one minute later.[14] Both edits were reverted by Velella one minute later with the edit summary of Reverted 2 edits by Sheepneek (talk): Vandalism. using TW.

(O)ne of the problems in American politics right now, in my opinion, is that everybody thinks, because you're a member of one party or another, you're going to vote a certain way," Jones said. "And that should not be the case. I'm going to talk to people on both sides of the aisle, try to figure out what I think is in the best interests of my state and in the country. Now, don't expect me to vote solidly for Republicans or Democrats.
